Sour Cream And Chocolate Pound Cake
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, at room temperature
- 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sour cream, at room temperature
- 1 c. boiling water
- Cream butter and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in melted chocolate and vanilla.
- Mix flour, soda and salt in bowl. Add to chocolate mixture alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in boiling water.
- Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
- Bake at 325u0b0 for 1 1/4 hours.
- Cool in pan.
- Invert onto serving plate.
- Yield:
- 16 servings.
