Hot Spiced Fruit
- 3/4 stick butter or margarine
- 4 tsp. curry powder
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 (No. 2 1/2) can peach halves
- 1 (No. 2 1/2) can pear halves, drained
- 1 (No. 2 1/2) can Bing cherries, drained
- 1 (No. 2 1/2) can pineapple chunks
- 1/2 c. blanched almonds
- 1 bottle maraschino cherries
- Put butter, curry powder and brown sugar in a saucepan.
- Melt to a syrup.
- Arrange half the fruit in the bottom of an ovenproof casserole dish.
- Pour in half the almonds and half the syrup. Arrange the rest of the fruit on top and add remaining syrup and almonds.
- Garnish the top with the maraschino cherries.
- Bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 35 minutes.
- Can be assembled the day before.
- Ready to be heated anytime.
- Serves 10 to 12.
