Twenty-Minute Chocolate Cake
- 1/2 cup butter, cubed
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup baking cocoa
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3-3/4 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/3 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter with water and cocoa. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. beat in the chocolate mixture; stir in the remaining ingredients.
- Pour into a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Place on a wire rack.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the first four frosting ingredients. Stir in nuts. Pour over warm cake; spread to cover cake.
