Easy Mushroom Pizza
- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms or 2 (6 to 8 oz.) cans sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 c. diced green peppers
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 (15 1/2 oz.) jar meatless spaghetti sauce
- 5 Tbsp. oil, divided
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 lb. sweet Italian sausage links, sliced and cooked
- 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
- 2/3 c. milk
- 4 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
- Drain canned mushrooms; set aside.
- Heat 4 tablespoons oil in large skillet.
- Add mushrooms and saute for 5 minutes.
- Remove and set aside.
- In same skillet, heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil.
- Add onion and green pepper and saute for 3 minutes.
- Combine half of sauce and half of sauteed mushrooms with the onion and pepper in skillet.
- Set aside.
