Country White Bread

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add sugar, salt, eggs, oil and 3 c flour; beat until smooth.
  3. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.
  4. Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes.
  5. Place in a greased bowl, turning dough once to grease top.
  6. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  7. Punch dough down. Divide in half and shape into loaves.
  8. Place in 2 greased 9 X 5 X 3 inch loaf pans.
  9. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  10. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Remove from pans to cool on wire racks.
