West Virginia Mountain Lasagna
- 1/2 green pepper, diced *
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce *
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste *
- 2 envelopes spaghetti sauce mix*
- 1 large onion, diced *
- 1 lb. lasagna noodles
- 16 oz. cottage cheese
- 1 qt. tomatoes *
- 1 tsp. garlic *
- 2 lb. ground chuck *
- 1 small can mushrooms *
- dash of oregano *
- 16 oz. Mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- In sheet pan, cover bottom with sauce, 1 layer of noodles, sauce, Parmesan cheese, cottage cheese (4 spoonfuls), Mozzarella cheese (3 slices) and repeat layers until pan is almost full. Cook at 350u0b0 until cheese melts.
- Don't cover.
- Makes 2 pans.
