Almond Cream Confections

  1. Combine butter, sugar, cocoa, vanilla, salt and eggs in a heavy
  2. saucepan;
  3. cook
  4. over low heat, stirring
  5. constantly until butter melts and mixture begins to thicken.
  6. Remove from heat; add almonds and wafer crumbs.
  7. Stir well.
  8. Press firmly into ungreased
  9. 9-inch
  10. square pan.
  11. Cover and chill.
  12. Spread cream filling over almond mixture; cover and chill.
  13. Cut into squares. Remove
  14. from
