Beef Steak - Potato Scallop

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Cut meat into 1-inch cubes; coat with flour.
  3. Brown meat in melted shortening in a skillet.
  4. Add onions; cook and stir until tender.
  5. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole; sprinkle with 3 tablespoons flour, salt, pepper and garlic salt.
  6. Pour water over mixture.
  7. Cover; bake 45 to 60 minutes or until meat is tender.
  8. Turn oven up to 450u0b0.
  9. Arrange potatoes on meat.
  10. Sprinkle with salt and paprika.
  11. Bake uncovered about 30 minutes longer.
