Dolly Beck'S Glazed Strawberry Pie
- 1 c. sliced strawberries
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 c. washed and dried strawberries
- baked pie shell (sprinkle with sugar before baking)
- Cool Whip or whipped and sweetened heavy cream
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg (unbeaten)
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. or more raisins
- 1/2 c. nuts, chopped
- Blend flour, butter and sugar together until crumbs form. Reserve 1/4 cup mixture for topping.
- Mix all together, except raisins and nuts.
- Add the raisins and nuts.
- Pour into greased and floured square glass cake pan (9 x 9-inch or 10 x 10-inch); sprinkle with reserved 1/4 cup topping.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
