Golden Chocolate Treasure Cookies
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. chocolate morsels (semi-sweet)
- 1 c. coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
- In large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar and brown sugar until creamy, 3 to 5 minutes.
- Beat in vanilla and egg.
- Gradually blend in flour mixture.
- Stir in semi-sweet chocolate morsels and nuts.
- Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
- Let stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheets; cool completely.
- Makes about 18 cookies.
