Sam'S Pound Cake With Apricot Brandy
- 2 sticks butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 tsp. orange extract
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
- 1/2 tsp. rum extract
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. apricot brandy (optional)
- Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture.
- Combine sour cream with flavorings and brandy; add to cake batter and mix well.
- Bake in a large, well-greased and floured tube pan at 325u0b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
- Let cool in pan before removing.
