Skillet Pork Chops 'N Rice

  1. Lightly saute onion and celery in oil.
  2. Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper; add to skillet and brown on both sides.
  3. Remove chops.
  4. Add water, brown sugar, salt, pepper and 1 1/2 cans tomato sauce.
  5. Stir and bring to boiling point.
  6. Add rice and stir. (There will be a lot of liquid, but rice will absorb it.)
  7. Return chops to skillet, cover and simmer 30 minutes.
  8. Pour on remaining tomato sauce, cover and cook 15 minutes longer.
  9. Makes 4 servings.
