Les' Harvest Stuffing
- 1 c. butter, melted
- 2 c. sliced carrots
- 2 c. sliced celery
- 1 c. diced onion
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. poultry season
- 1 loaf white bread
- 2 loaves light wheat bread
- 4 c. baking apples, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
- 1 to 2 c. instant herb stuffing mix
- 1/2 c. apple juice
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. chicken broth
- Saute first six ingredients in butter.
- In bowl combine apples, nuts, raisins and herb stuffing mix.
- Stir in sauteed vegies and butter until coated.
- Mix in 3 loaves bread, which have been dried and cubed, until coated.
- Combine juice and broth, then sparingly pour over stuffing until all is damp.
- Stuffs 20 pound turkey and more!
