Country Baked Chicken
- 1/2 c. butter
- chicken parts
- 1/4 c. flour seasoned with salt and pepper
- 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 (10 oz.) can mushroom soup
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 (10 oz.) jar small onions, drained
- 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
- paprika
- Melt butter in 9 x 13-inch dish.
- Coat chicken with seasoned flour.
- Arrange in single layer in melted buttered casserole skin side down and bake uncovered at 400u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Turn pieces and bake 20 minutes more until nicely browned.
- Pour off excess fat.
- Combine milk, soup, cheese, soy sauce, salt and pepper.
- Add onions and mushrooms to chicken.
- Pour milk mixture over all. Sprinkle with paprika.
- Cover with foil and continue baking 30 minutes more at 350u0b0.
