Italian Meat Loaf
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 c. milk
- 3/4 c. bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. diced onion
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. oregano leaves
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- 2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- Combine raw meat, 4 ounces of tomato sauce and all the remaining ingredient, except the Mozzarella cheese together.
- Form a large ball and then roll out the meat mixture flat and long like a jelly roll.
- Sprinkle 3/4 of the Mozzarella cheese over the top of the flatten meat mixture.
- Then roll it up like a jelly roll folding the sides to seal the cheese in until you have a loaf. Place in 1 1/2-quart loaf baking dish (uncovered) in a 350u0b0 oven for 1 hour.
- Pour remaining tomato sauce over and sprinkle remaining cheese on top during the last 15 minutes of baking.
