Cranberry Cheese Bars(Yields 24 Bars)
- 2 c. unsifted flour
- 1 1/2 c. oats
- 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
- 1 c. softened margarine
- 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 c. lemon juice concentrate
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 16 oz. can whole cranberry
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- In large bowl, mix flour, oats, 3/4 cup sugar and margarine until crumbly.
- Reserve 1 1/2 cups crumb mixture.
- Press remainder firmly on bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
- Bake 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in small bowl, beat cheese until fluffy.
- Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
- Stir in lemon juice.
- Spread evenly over prepared crust.
- In small bowl, combine remaining tablespoon sugar and cornstarch and stir in cranberry sauce.
- Spoon evenly over cheese layer.
- Top with reserved crumb mixture.
- Bake 40 minutes until golden.
- Cool.
- Chill.
- Store chilled and covered.
- Enjoy!
