Firehouse Spaghetti
- 2 to 3 lb. ground chuck
- 1 large bottle Prego spaghetti sauce
- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. hot red pepper
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 lb. ground mild sausage
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. oregano
- 1 Tbsp. pepper
- 3 medium onions, diced
- 2 lb. thin spaghetti
- Brown ground chuck, sausage, onions, green pepper and mushrooms. Combine with seasonings, except sugar. Add tomato and Prego sauces, then add sugar. Bring to boil and simmer for a minimum of 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add water for desired consistency. Serve over cooked spaghetti. Serves 6.
