Shrimp Stir-Fry
- 1 1/2 lb. shrimp
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. dry sherry
- 3 Tbsp. ketchup
- 3 tsp. sugar
- pepper to taste
- 4 Tbsp. oil
- 5 slices ginger
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 4 green onions
- 1/2 c. celery, sliced
- 1/2 c. mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 c. water chestnuts
- 1/2 c. bamboo shoots, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. pimento
- 2 c. pea pod
- Peel
- and
- devein
- shrimp;
- combine
- soy sauce, sherry, ketchup, sugar
- and
- pepper.
- Heat oil in wok or skillet.
- Add garlic;
- stir-fry for 30 seconds;
- remove garlic.
- Add ginger; stir-fry for 30 seconds; add shrimp, stir-fry for 5 minutes or until shrimp
- turntink.
- Add onion, celery, mushrooms, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots.
- Stir-fry 30 seconds; stir in soy sauce mixture.
- Add pimento and pea pods; heat through.
