Strudel
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 c. warm milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 3 c. flour
- butter, melted
- vanilla wafer crumbs
- brown sugar
- apples, sliced
- cinnamon
- granulated sugar
- pecans, chopped
- coconut, flaked
- raisins
- butter, melted
- powdered sugar icing
- coconut
- Melt butter.
- Mix with milk, egg yolks and flour.
- Chill in refrigerator about 3 hours.
- Divide dough into 3 portions.
- Take 1 portion out of refrigerator at a time.
- Place clean cloth on table, sprinkle generously with flour.
- Roll dough with floured rolling pin as thinly as possible.
- Brush dough with melted butter.
- Then sprinkle with the remaining ingredients, leaving 1-inch around edges for sealing.
- Pick up cloth at one side, lift slowly toward the other side, rolling strudel up.
- Seal by pinching dough together.
- Place strudel on greased cookie sheet. Brush with melted butter.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 minutes.
- Brush again with melted butter; cool.
- Top with powdered sugar icing and sprinkle with coconut.
