Muttie'S Lemon Bars

  1. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Line with one layer of graham crackers.
  3. Mix butter, sugar, milk and egg in saucepan.
  4. Boil for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat and add walnuts, coconut and crushed graham crackers.
  6. Pour over single layer of graham crackers.
  7. Cover mixture with another layer of graham crackers.
  8. Make frosting by mixing 1/2 cup butter, confectioners sugar, vanilla and the juice of lemon until smooth. Frost top layer of graham crackers.
  9. Chill 6 hours or overnight. Cut into 6 bars.
