Italian Meat Sauce
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 c. parsley
- 2 (1 lb.) cans whole tomatoes
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (12 oz.) tomato paste
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 whole bay leaves
- Heat oil in 6-quart saucepan.
- Add onions and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add ground chuck and garlic (or garlic powder) and cook until meat browns.
- Place whole tomatoes in blender and then add to meat mixture.
- Add rest of ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, then turn heat to low and simmer, covered, for about four hours. Remove bay leaves.
