Lasagna
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground sausage
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. oregano
- 3/4 tsp. fennel
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 3 pt. puree
- 1 pt. paste
- 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 lb. Ricotta cheese
- 4 oz. Parmesan cheese
- 1 pkg. lasagna noodles
- Saute the onion and garlic.
- Add the meat and brown.
- Drain, then add the salt, oregano, fennel, basil, sugar, puree and paste. Simmer on low 1 hour.
- Beat the eggs and combine with the Ricotta cheese.
- Cook the lasagna noodles as directed with a little oil. Drain, wash and cool to handling.
- Put in layers in pan the noodles, sauce, Mozzarella, dots of Ricotta and Parmesan.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Cool 5 minutes and cut.
