Divinity Pumpkin Pie

  1. Mix sugar, cornstarch, spices and salt together in heavy saucepan.
  2. Add pumpkin and milk; stir to blend well.
  3. Set over moderate heat and cook, stirring constantly, until thick and boiling.
  4. Beat egg yolks; add about half of the hot mixture gradually to egg yolks, stirring constantly.
  5. Return to pan and bring back to a boil, stirring constantly.
  6. Boil 1 minute.
  7. Remove from heat.
  8. Add marshmallows and stir until marshmallows are melted and mixture is blended.
  9. Cool, do not chill.
