Bran Muffins

  1. Combine wheat bran cereal, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, raisins, walnuts and salt.
  2. Combine buttermilk, egg, molasses and oleo in another bowl.
  3. Stir liquid ingredients into dry ingredients quickly with only a few strokes. Do not overmix.
  4. Place paper liners in a muffin tin and divide batter equally.
  5. Bake at 325u0b0 for 20 minutes.
  6. Freezes well for microwaving to serve.
