Overnite Lasagne
- 1 lb. mild Italian sausage or ground beef
- 1 qt. spaghetti sauce
- 1 c. water (may add more)
- 15 oz. carton Ricotta or cottage cheese
- 2 Tbsp. chopped chives or green onions
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 egg
- 8 oz. uncooked lasagne noodles
- 1 lb. sliced Mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
- Cook meat, drain.
- Add spaghetti sauce and water.
- Simmer 5 minutes. Combine Ricotta or cottage cheese, oregano and egg; mix well.
- Spread 1 1/2 cups of meat sauce in bottom of ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Top with 1/2 noodles, 1/2 Ricotta mixture and 1/2 Mozzarella.
- Repeat with remaining noodles, Ricotta and Mozzarella.
- Top with remaining meat sauce.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Bake at 350u0b0, uncovered, 50 to 60 minutes until bubbly.
- Let stand 15 minutes.
- Add Parmesan last 5 minutes.
