Dilly Bread

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Heat until lukewarm cottage cheese, sugar, minced onion, dill seed, butter, salt and soda.
  3. Add unbeaten egg and yeast mixture.
  4. Mix in to form a stiff dough, bread flour.
  5. Let mixture rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size, 50 to 60 minutes.
  6. Stir the dough down.
  7. Turn into a well-greased casserole dish or two loaf pans.
  8. Let rise in a warm place for 40 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Spread butter and salt on top after removing from oven.
