Lasagna
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 c. olive oil (do not substitute)
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 minced cloves garlic
- 1 (2 1/2 lb.) can tomatoes
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 tsp. Morton salt
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 bay leaf
- 1 c. ripe olives, cut in large pieces
- 8 oz. pkg. lasagna
- 1 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese
- 12 oz. Ricotta cheese
- 1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- Brown meat in hot oil; add onion and garlic.
- Cook until transparent.
- Add tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, salt and basil and cook until sauce is thickened.
- Stir in olives.
