Frozen Hot Chocolate Recipe

  1. Place the coarsely chopped chocolate pieces in a double boiler over simmering water, stirring occasionally until melted. Add the cocoa and sugar, stirring constantly until thoroughly blended. Remove from heat and slowly add 1/2 cup of the light cream and stir until smooth. Cool to room temperature.
  2. In a blender place the remaining cup of cream, the room temperature chocolate mixture, and the ice. Blend on high speed until smooth and the consistency of a Slurpee or Frappuccino. Pour into glasses and serve with both spoons and straws. If desired, garnish with whipped cream, or for extra decadence, top it with a scoop of chocolate ice cream.
