Seafood And Noodle Casserole
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. enriched flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 4 c. milk
- 1 lb. flat, wide noodles, cooked as directed on pkg.
- 1/2 lb. shrimp, cooked and deveined
- 3/4 c. flaked crab meat
- 3/4 c. sharp grated cheese
- 1/3 c. bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- Melt butter intaucepan.
- Blend
- in
- flour,
- salt
- and pepper.
- Add
- milk gradually, stirring constantly.took until sauce is thickened.
- Placet bed of cooked noodles in greased casserole dish.
- Add shrimp
- and
- crab meat on top of noodles. Cover with above
- cream
- sauce.
- Sprinkle
- cheese and top with bread crumbs.
- Pour
- melted butter over bread crumbs.
- Bake in moderate 350u0b0 oven until sauce is bubbly and crumbs are golden brown (approximately 30 minutes).
