Never Fail Rolls
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 c. Crisco shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 3/4 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 2 eggs
- 6 c. plain all-purpose flour
- Mix Crisco, sugar and salt in 1 cup very hot water in large bowl of mixer.
- Mix yeast in 3/4 cup warm water.
- Mix with Crisco mixture when it cools to lukewarm.
- Add beaten eggs and 5 cups flour.
- Mix well and use dough hook to knead.
- Add 1 cup flour slowly.
- Put in large greased bowl; cover and refrigerate overnight.
- About 3 hours before time to bake, roll and cut with biscuit cutter.
- Brush with melted butter, fold and pinch edge together.
- Place on greased large 14 x 17-inch pan.
- Brush tops with melted butter.
- Bake at 350u0b0 approximately 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Makes 4 to 5 dozen rolls.
