Dulishus Cookies
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. oleo
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 1/2 c. flour (either white or wheat, I like wheat)
- 1 c. any cereal, crushed (I use Granola)
- 1 c. coconut
- 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1 c. oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 c. oatmeal (quick cooking)
- 1 c. chocolate chips (optional)
- Cream together oleo, oil and sugar.
- Beat in egg and vanilla. Add remainder of ingredients.
- This makes a very stiff mixture so I add enough water (maybe 1/2 cup to make dough pliable).
- Roll dough into a ball about the size of a large walnut.
- Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 350u0b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Watch closely and don't overcook.
- These freeze very well and stay fresh for weeks without freezing.
- Makes about 7 dozen cookies.
