Whole Wheat Honey Bread

  1. Combine 3 cups whole wheat flour, nonfat dry milk, salt and yeast in large bowl.
  2. Heat water, honey and oil in saucepan over low heat until warm; pour warm liquid over flour mixture.
  3. Blend with electric mixer at low speed for 1 minute and at medium speed for 2 minutes.
  4. Add remaining whole wheat flour; blend with mixer. Stir in about 4 cups all-purpose flour by hand.
  5. Turn onto floured board and knead, adding flour as necessary to keep dough from being too sticky, until dough is smooth and elastic (about 5 minutes). Place dough in greased bowl, turning greased side up.
  6. Cover; let rise 45 to 60 minutes, until dough is light and doubled in bulk.
