South-Of-The-Border Cake

  1. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
  2. Set aside. Cream margarine and instant coffee. Cut orange into thin strips, add to creamed mixture; blend well.
  3. Gradually add sugar, beat well after each addition.
  4. Beat in one egg at a time.
  5. Add part of flour mixture, part of orange and molasses; beat well.
  6. Add remaining flour mixture, orange juice and molasses.
  7. Beat well. Pour into waxed paper-lined pan, 10 x 5 x 13-inches.
  8. Bake at 325u0b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
