Whole Wheat Bran Bread

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Add
  3. brown
  4. sugar, salt, hot water, shortening, whole wheat flour, bran and 1 cup bread flour. Beat
  5. at medium speed for 3
  6. minutes.
  7. Add
  8. remaining flour gradually to form a stiff dough and
  9. knead
  10. until smooth and elastic.
  11. Let rise in greased bowl,
  12. covered
  13. loosely with plastic.
  14. When doubled in size, punch down and
  15. let
  16. rest
  17. 10 minutes.
  18. Place in 2 greased bread pans and bake
  19. at
  20. 375u0b0 for 30 minutes.
  21. Reduce
  22. heat
  23. to 350u0b0 and bake 10
  24. to
  25. 15
  26. more minutes.
