Light-As-A-Feather Gingerbread

  1. Sift flour, salt, soda, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon and cloves into large bowl.
  2. Stir in enough oil to make mixture crumbly.
  3. Add eggs; beat well.
  4. Combine molasses and boiling water in bowl; mix well.
  5. Add 3/4 cup molasses mixture to flour mixture; beat until smooth.
  6. Add remaining molasses mixture, stirring just until well mixed.
  7. Pour into greased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake at 325u0b0 for 1 hour or until gingerbread tests done.
  8. Serve warm with Lemon Sauce.
  9. Yield:
  10. 16 servings.
