Oreo Cookie Freeze
- Oreo cookie crumbs or 28 Oreo cookies, crushed
- 1/4 c. melted margarine
- 1/2 gal. coffee ice cream
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 small can evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
- 6 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 (12 oz.) carton Cool Whip
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- Mix cookie crumbs with melted margarine; spoon into a 9 x 13-inch pan and freeze.
- Spread ice cream on crumbs and re-freeze. Bring to a boil the sugar, milk, vanilla, semi-sweet chocolate and margarine.
- Boil for 1 minute (stirring constantly).
- Cool. Set aside 1/4 cup of chocolate sauce.
- Spread remainder of sauce over the ice cream layer and re-freeze.
- Spread Cool Whip over chocolate layer.
- Sprinkle with nuts.
- Dribble the 1/4 cup chocolate sauce (which was set aside) over top.
- Re-freeze.
- May need to slightly thaw before cutting to serve.
