Oreo Cookie Freeze

  1. Mix cookie crumbs with melted margarine; spoon into a 9 x 13-inch pan and freeze.
  2. Spread ice cream on crumbs and re-freeze. Bring to a boil the sugar, milk, vanilla, semi-sweet chocolate and margarine.
  3. Boil for 1 minute (stirring constantly).
  4. Cool. Set aside 1/4 cup of chocolate sauce.
  5. Spread remainder of sauce over the ice cream layer and re-freeze.
  6. Spread Cool Whip over chocolate layer.
  7. Sprinkle with nuts.
  8. Dribble the 1/4 cup chocolate sauce (which was set aside) over top.
  9. Re-freeze.
  10. May need to slightly thaw before cutting to serve.
