Lasagna

  1. Prepare tomato sauce. Heat 3 tablespoons olive oil in a large deep skillet or 3-quart saucepan. Add onions and garlic (crushed or minced). Cook until onion is soft, stirring occasionally. Add hamburger and bulk sausage. Separate into small pieces; cook until lightly browned. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, water, salt, pepper and oregano. Cook, uncovered, over low heat about 1 hour, stirring occasionally. (Add mushroom pieces along with onion if you like.)
