Italian Casserole

  1. Cook pasta shells as directed on package. Drain. Saute the ground beef.
  2. Mix cottage cheese, butter and tomato sauce until well blended.
  3. Stir in mushrooms and green pepper, blending well. Add oregano, salt and pepper.
  4. Place layer of shells in bottom of a lightly buttered casserole dish.
  5. Cover with layer of cottage cheese mixture. Top with half of the pepperoni.
  6. Place 2 slices of cheese on top. Crumble 1/3 ground beef evenly over cheese. Repeat layers, ending with cheese on top ringed with pepperoni.
  7. Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes until hot and bubbly.
