Snitchbrot

  1. Put fruit in 2 quarts of water and bring to simmer to soften fruit.
  2. Pour liquid into a large bowl.
  3. Add sugar, molasses and spices to the warm liquid.
  4. Add flour until a soft dough is formed.
  5. Let cool to lukewarm so you don't kill yeast.
  6. Add yeast and fruit.
  7. Let rise in a warm place until it doubles.
  8. Knead lightly and separate to pans.
  9. Hand shaped loaves will also work. Let dough rise and double again.
  10. Then bake at 350u0b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
  11. Makes 5 to 10 loaves depending on size of pan.
