Chicken Divan
- 2 (11 oz.) pkg. frozen rice pilaf or boxed pilaf
- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. cut broccoli (frozen) in cheese sauce or cooked broccoli
- 2 c. cut up, cooked chicken
- 1 (3 oz.) can French fried onions
- 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts
- 1 (10 1/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup
- 1 (2 1/2 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- Cook rice and broccoli according to package directions. Spread rice in bottom of a 7 x 11-inch baking dish.
- Cover with chicken, then broccoli in cheese sauce.
- Mix together the water chestnuts, soup, mushrooms and mayonnaise; pour over broccoli mixture.
- Bake in preheated oven at 350u0b0 for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven.
- Cover with onions and bake an additional 10 minutes.
- Serves 8 to 10.
