Chinese Chop Suey

  1. Melt butter in hot skillet.
  2. Add meat and sear quickly (without burning).
  3. Add onions and fry for 5 minutes.
  4. Add celery, salt, pepper and hot water.
  5. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Add bean sprouts.
  7. Mix thoroughly and heat to a boiling point.
  8. Add the flavor and thickening ingredients and cook for 20 minutes or until meat is done.
  9. Serve with white rice and the Chinese noodles.
  10. Makes 4 large servings.
