Lasagna
- 1 lb. lasagna noodles
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. sausage
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1/4 c. chopped bell pepper
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. fresh (or canned) sliced mushrooms
- 1 (32 oz.) jar Classico spaghetti sauce (or your favorite)
- 1 lb. cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 lb. mozzarella cheese, grated
- 2 c. 4-Italian cheese
- 1/2 c. fresh grated parmesan cheese
- Boil 4 quarts water; add noodles (salt optional) and return to a boil.
- Boil uncovered 10 to 12 minutes; drain and rinse. While noodles are cooking, brown ground beef and sausage; add garlic, green pepper, onions and mushrooms.
- After onion is tender, add spaghetti sauce and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Spread sauce in bottom of large ovenproof lasagna dish.
- Next add noodles, meat sauce; sprinkle the 3 different cheeses on next. Continue layering in this order.
- Top with lots of cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Before serving, top with fresh grated parmesan cheese.
- Serve with a green salad and garlic toast.
