White Christmas Pie

  1. Blend 1/2 cup sugar, flour and gelatine.
  2. Stir in milk.
  3. Cook, stirring constantly, over
  4. medium heat, just to boiling.
  5. Chill in refrigerator; stir occasionally until mixture mounds when dropped by spoon.
  6. Stir in flavorings.
  7. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy.
  8. Slowly add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff and glossy.
  9. Don't overbeat!
  10. Fold in whipped cream and coconut.
  11. Pile into prepared pie shell.
  12. Chill 4 hours or longer.
  13. Very good served with crushed strawberries or raspberries.
