German Chocolate Snackin' Bars
- 1 (4 oz.) pkg. sweet cooking chocolate
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. biscuit baking mix
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (7 oz.) pkg. flaked coconut (2 1/3 c.)
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
- In a medium saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate with margarine.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in 1/2 cup milk, eggs, biscuit mix and vanilla.
- Spread evenly into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine remaining milk and coconut; spoon in small amounts over chocolate mixture.
- Sprinkle nuts on top; press
- down firmly.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool thoroughly. Cut into bars.
- Store, loosely covered, at room temperature. Makes 36 bars.
