Dinner Tonight: Pimento Cheese Burger Recipe
- 4 ounces grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon diced pimentos
- 1 tablespoon grated onion
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and black pepper
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, divided into four equal balls
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce and tomato for garnish (optional)
- Canola oil
- Mix together the cheese, mayonnaise, pimentos, grated onion, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl. Taste and adjust seasoning accordingly.
- Form the four balls into a patties and season each with salt and pepper. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, add a drizzle of canola oil and then add as many of the patties and can fit comfortably in one layer. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, for medium rare. With 1 minute left add a tablespoon of the pimento cheese spread to each burger. Cover skillet and cook until it melts. Repeat with any remaining patties.
