Apple Crisp Recipe
- 4 granny smith apples, peeled, cored, and chopped into 1 inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 sticks butter, cut into 1/2 inch dice
- Adjust oven rack to middle position and preheat oven to 350u0b0F. In a large bowl, mix together ingredients for filling. Spoon into a 3 quart baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, mix together all ingredients for topping except butter. Add pieces of butter and blend mixture between your fingers until butter has become the size of peas. Spread/crumble topping over apple filling and bake until topping is golden brown, about 40 minutes.
