Biscuits Supreme
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 Tbsp. sour cream
- 2/3 c. milk
- Stir together the flour, salt, baking powder, cream of tartar and sugar.
- Cut in the Crisco until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
- Add the sour cream and mix a little, then add the milk all at once, stirring until the dough forms a ball.
- Roll out on floured surface and knead lightly just until dough holds together nicely.
- Roll out to about 3/4 inches thick and cut with floured cutter.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Let rise while oven heats to 400u0b0.
- Bake until lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Makes about 1 dozen biscuits.
- Serve with Honey Butter or Strawberry Butter.
