Green Bean Casserole
- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen French-style green beans
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. freshly grated onion or 1 tsp. onion flakes
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. grated sharp cheese
- 1/2 c. crushed corn flakes
- 1 Tbsp. butter, melted
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Cook and drain green beans.
- In a large saucepan, combine butter, flour, salt, pepper, sugar, onion, sour cream and cheese.
- Stir and cook over low heat until ingredients are well combined and cheese melted.
- Add beans, mixing well. Pour into buttered 2-quart casserole.
- Combine cornflakes with 1 tablespoon melted butter and sprinkle over bean mixture.
- Bake, uncovered, for 25 minutes.
- Serves 6.
