Kolacky
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. cream
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
- 6 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 1 pkg. prunes, cooked, sweetened to taste and mashed or pureed
- 1 pkg. dried apricots, cooked, sweetened to taste and mashed or pureed
- 1 pkg. dried peaches, cooked, sweetened to taste and mashed or pureed
- powdered sugar
- 1 lb. butter
- Scald, cream and cool.
- Add yeast and sugar.
- Let stand 10 minutes.
- Cut butter into flour as for pie crust.
- Add salt, yeast mixture and egg yolks to flour mixture.
- Stir and beat to form smooth soft dough.
- Cover tightly and let rise in warm place for 1 hour.
- Turn out onto a lightly floured board and roll to 1/4-inch thickness.
- Cut with round 1 1/2-inch biscuit cutter.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Make indentations in center and fill with fruits.
- Let rise 15 minutes.
- Bake in 400u0b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly brown.
- Remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.
- Dust with powdered sugar.
