Whole Wheat Rolls

  1. Combine cereal, sugar, salt, margarine and boiling water, then cool.
  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water; let sit until it foams. Combine yeast mixture with cereal mixture, egg and flour.
  3. Mix until stiff dough has formed.
  4. Knead 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Grease bowl.
  6. Put dough in bowl; set in warm place. Let rise until double, about 1 1/2 hours.
  7. Punch down; form small balls.
  8. Place on greased cookie sheet close together.
  9. Brush with butter.
  10. Let rise 1 hour, covered.
  11. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 375u0b0.
